Very hard to find green Bakelite Ronson cigarette lighter from around 1928 -1929. The model is De-Light New Yorker. The base is a beautiful green Bakelite and the top part chrome. Measures 2.75″ tall. Very nice original condition.
The lighter pops up when you depress the button but the wheel doesn’t turn because the flint is all used up and the spring is rubbing on the flint wheel. It will need a flint replaced and I will leave that to the buyer as I am not familiar with taking these apart. Over all condition is nice; no cracks, chips to Bakelite. On one side of the top chrome there is some scratches where someone tried to do something to it. See the close-up photos below.
Not often do these come up for sale. A great modern streamlined design from the late 1920s!
